«La cantiga del fuego» is Ana Alcaide's third studio album, released in 2012 by The Voice Of Nature on CD.
«La cantiga del fuego» draws on Sephardic tradition and the city of Toledo to build a sonic journey in which the nyckelharpa, a Swedish keyed fiddle, combines with medieval melodies and contemporary arrangements. The album alternates original compositions and versions of traditional cantigas, with a folk and world music aesthetic evoking medieval Spain.
The album was released in Spain under the reference VN-705 and falls within folk, world music and Sephardic styles.
Aimed at folk and world music listeners interested in Sephardic culture and historical instruments such as the nyckelharpa.
