«Kango - Efe - Asua» is the album of ethnomusicological recordings of the Kango, Efe and Asua pygmies, released in 1991 by Fonti Musicali on CD.
It collects field recordings made by Didier Demolin between 1986 and 1990 among the Kango, Efe and Asua pygmies of Upper Zaire. The songs and ritual sounds document everyday activities such as honey gathering, the return from hunting and initiation ceremonies, offering a sonic testimony of their traditional culture.
The CD comes in a standard jewel case and includes a booklet; the edition was produced in collaboration with the Musée Dapper.
For collectors of traditional music and scholars of ethnomusicology and Central African cultures.
