«Improvisations» is the jazz album by Stéphane Grappelli, released in 2001 by Universal Music Division Decca Records F on CD.
The album revisits the session recorded in Paris in 1956 by Stéphane Grappelli for the Jazz in Paris series. The violinist plays with a quartet of piano, double bass and drums in a programme of elegant swing with echoes of gypsy jazz. There are seventeen tracks full of virtuosity and dialogue between the violin and the rhythm section.
Remastered single-disc edition, with a duration of 50 minutes.
For those who enjoy elegant swing and the virtuosity of the violin.
