«Era 1» is the album by Era, released in 2002 by Mercury (Universal Music), on CD.
Era's music combines Gregorian chants with electronic rhythms and rock, in a style close to new age. Tracks such as «Ameno», «Misere Mani» and «Mother» blend solemn choruses with modern arrangements, while the album maintains a dark and spiritual atmosphere.
Project by Eric Levi, former member of Shakin' Street. Recorded at Real World Studios with Chester Thompson and Lee Sklar.
For listeners of new age, ambient electronic and pop rock with Gregorian influences.
