«Dangerous Liaisons» is the original soundtrack of the eponymous film composed by George Fenton, released in 1989 by Virgin on CD.
The soundtrack of the film Dangerous Liaisons combines the score composed by George Fenton with baroque and classical works from the operatic and instrumental repertoire, in keeping with the aristocratic atmosphere of the drama. Arias such as «Ombra mai fù» and «O malheureuse Iphigénie!» are heard, alongside Bach's Concerto for Four Harpsichords BWV 1065, among orchestral passages of tension and elegance.
The CD has 19 tracks and catalogue number CDV 2583. The film received seven Oscar nominations, including Best Original Score.
For fans of film soundtracks and classical and baroque music.
