«Complete Works for Viola da Gamba» is the Renaissance music album by Silvestro di Ganassi dal Fontego and Diego Ortiz, released by Brilliant Classics on CD.
The disc brings together Ganassi's complete works for viola da gamba, with extracts from Regola Rubertina and Lettione seconda, alongside Ortiz's Trattado de glosas. Bettina Hoffmann performs the viola da gamba accompanied by the ensemble Modo Antiquo, in a reference recording of the 16th-century Italian instrumental repertoire.
Recommended for enthusiasts of early music and Renaissance repertoire for historical string instruments.
