«Beethoven: Quatuor n° 13 op. 130 / n° 8 op. 59-2» is the album by Ludwig van Beethoven performed by the Quatuor Talich, released in 2004 by Approche on CD.
The programme brings together two Beethoven string quartets: No. 13 in B-flat major, Op. 130, and No. 8 in E minor, Op. 59 No. 2, the latter part of the Razumovsky quartets. The Quatuor Talich's version contrasts the six-movement structure of Op. 130 with the energy of Op. 59 and includes the celebrated Cavatina.
French edition on a single disc, with catalogue number CAL 5637 and a cover combining an illustration of the performers with a Gothic stained-glass window.
For listeners interested in chamber music and in performances of Beethoven's quartets.
