«American Music, Texas Style» is the blues album by Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, released by Verve on CD in 1999.
Recorded with his big band, the album crosses Texas blues with large-format arrangements and a festive air that invites dancing. The cover shows Brown with his cowboy hat and guitar, and the title itself claims that mix of Texan roots and classic big band sound.
CD edition of an album, released on 29 June 1999. The catalogue 547 536-2 appears both on the sleeve and in the documented editions of the album for the US and Europe.
For collectors of blues and American roots music seeking the orchestral sound of a nineties classic.
