«Back to the Blues» is the jazz and blues album by Dinah Washington, released in 1997 by EMI on CD.
The CD reproduces the twelve tracks of the original album, with arrangements by Fred Norman and Don Costa, and adds three bonus tracks. The repertoire combines slow blues and ballads such as «The Blues Ain't Nothin' But a Woman Cryin' for Her Man», «Romance in the Dark» and «How Long, How Long Blues».
Recorded in New York in July and November 1962. The original LP came out on Roulette SR-25189; for this reissue, Malcolm Addy remixed the original three-track tapes.
