«Diarios de motocicleta» is the film by Walter Salles (2004), starring Gael García Bernal, Rodrigo de la Serna and Mia Maestro, on DVD.
In 1952, Ernesto Guevara, a medical student, and Alberto Granado, a biochemist, leave Buenos Aires on an old Norton motorcycle to discover Latin America. When the bike breaks down, they continue hitchhiking, and contact with poverty and injustice transforms their consciousness. The film is based on Guevara's travel diaries.
