Oskar Kokoschka was an Austrian artist, poet, playwright and teacher, best known for his intense expressionistic portraits and landscapes, as well as his theories on vision that influenced the Viennese Expressionist movement.

Oskar Kokoschka was a multifaceted Austrian artist who excelled in painting, playwriting, and poetry.

Born in Pöchlarn in 1886, his artistic legacy includes over 180 registered works.

His masterpiece The Bride of the Wind is one of the most iconic references of European Expressionism.

Throughout his life, Kokoschka held various nationalities, including British and Czechoslovakian.

In addition to his creative work, he dedicated part of his career to teaching as a university professor.
