«Y tú no regresaste» is Marceline Loridan-Ivens's open letter to her father, published by Salamandra in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
Marceline Loridan-Ivens writes an open letter to her father, deported with him to Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1943, at the age of fifteen. She recalls daily life in the camp, the pain of loss, and the guilt of the survivor, based on the words her father told her: “Tú podrás regresar, porque eres joven, pero yo ya no volveré”.
The work was originally published in French as “Et tu n'es pas revenu” in 2015; this Spanish edition was translated by José Manuel Fajardo.
It will appeal to readers of memoirs, twentieth-century history, and Holocaust testimonies during the Second World War.
