«Wir beide, irgendwann» is the young adult novel by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler, published by cbt in hardback (394 pages, in German).
In May 1996, 16-year-old Emma receives her first computer. With the help of her neighbour and friend Josh, she goes online and lands on her Facebook profile 15 years in the future, a social network that doesn't exist yet. Seeing their future raises a question: can they change their present decisions to avoid what awaits them?
The novel was originally published in English as The Future of Us; this German edition, translated by Knut Krüger, appeared in 2012.
The work will appeal to young and adult readers who enjoy stories of friendship, romance and science fiction about decisions and destiny.
Jay Asher is an American writer and novelist. He is best known for writing the bestselling 2007 book Thirteen Reasons Why, which later became a very popular Netflix series.
