«Vuelta de Don Camilo» is the humorous novel by Italian writer Giovanni Guareschi, published by Planeta in paperback (384 pages, in Spanish).
The novel brings together again don Camilo, a firm-charactered village priest, and Pepón, the communist mayor. Their clashing ideas and constant confrontations lead to comic scenes, though at decisive moments a shared humanity prevails that goes beyond politics.
Second installment of the Don Camillo series. The work was awarded the Bancarella Prize in 1954.
For readers of Italian classics and costumbrist humor who appreciate portraits of characters with opposing personalities.
