«Viajes con una burra» is Robert Louis Stevenson's travel account, published by Maeva in paperback (210 pages, in Spanish).
Stevenson recounts a twelve-day journey through the French region of the Cévennes in the company of his donkey Modestine. Halfway between a travel notebook and personal confession, the book blends descriptions of landscapes and people with humour and reflections on nature, solitude and outdoor life.
Work originally published in 1879 as Travels with a Donkey in the Cevennes. This edition, the second, belongs to the Andar y ver collection and includes the translation by Alejandro Pareja.
For readers of classic travel books and for those who want to discover a more personal and humorous side of Stevenson.
Nineteenth-century Scottish novelist, poet and travel writer, author of Treasure Island and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
