«Une vie d'Antonia» is the novel by Louis Maspero published by Editions de l'Aube in paperback (182 pages, in French).
The narrator evokes, through fragments of memory, a possible life of Antonia, a woman sensed rather than described. The narrative, amorous and sensual in tone, blends dreams and fantasies with everyday life, as the narrator tries to fix a past that slips away like sand.
It is Louis Maspero's second novel, published in 1999 in the «Regards croisés» collection by Editions de l'Aube.
For those who read French and seek a short, sensual novel steeped in memory.
