«Una pasión escrita» is the historical and romantic novel by María Montesinos, published by B in hardback (584 pages, in Spanish).
After living a few years in Vienna, Victoria returns to Madrid and discovers that high society expects a very different role from her than that of a writer. Diego, raised in working-class Madrid, works in the family print shop while dreaming of becoming a reporter in an era when newspapers shape the life of the city. The crossing of their paths becomes a tribute to the first female journalists, forced to sign with a man's name.
Second installment of María Montesinos's trilogy about the first women who fought to practice their profession at the end of the 19th century, begun with «Un destino propio».
For adults interested in historical fiction, romance, and female characters who challenge 19th-century social norms.
