«Un ser abominable» is the crime novel by Maj Sjöwall and Per Wahlöö, published by Noguer y Caralt in hardback (256 pages, in Spanish).
After the brutal murder of a hospitalized veteran policeman, Martin Beck senses imminent danger. The investigation reveals that the victim, known as «el abominable hombre de Säffle», had a history of brutality and abuse against hundreds of people in the army and the police. Revenge seems the motive and there is no shortage of suspects.
Seventh novel in the Martin Beck series, originally published in Swedish in 1971 as «Den vedervärdige mannen från Säffle». This Spanish edition is from 1973.
A work for fans of Scandinavian crime fiction and classic detective stories from the seventies.
