«Un humorista en la España de Franco» is the memoir by Evaristo Acevedo, published by Editorial Planeta in paperback (241 pages, in Spanish).
Second part of Evaristo Acevedo's memoirs: it reviews the decades from 1951 to 1975 with his particular humorist and journalist's view of daily life in Francoist Spain. It brings together columns published in La Codorniz, Informaciones and Pueblo and shows how censorship limited freedom of expression.
First edition of 1976, within the Espejo de España collection, La España de la posguerra series. It won the Espejo de España Prize in 1976.
For readers of contemporary Spanish history, journalism and humour, and for those studying censorship during Francoism.
