«Un comunista en calzoncillos» is the novel by Argentine writer Claudia Piñeiro, published by Alfaguara in paperback (200 pages, in Spanish).
In the summer of 1976, an observant and intuitive girl prepares to leave childhood behind in a suburban home marked by daily effort and lost illusions. Her father, handsome, complicit yet self-absorbed, is the central figure of her world and will end up demanding a test of loyalty from her. The novel portrays that childhood and, with it, an era, a class, and a country.
First published in 2013, the work belongs to Alfaguara's Narrativa Hispánica collection.
