«Um amor em tempos de guerra» is the romantic novel by Júlio Magalhães, published by A Esfera dos Livros in paperback (332 pages, in Portuguese).

António leaves his village, his mother, and Amélia, his fiancée, when he is sent to the colonial war in Angola. He returns years later marked by captivity and by an impossible love left in the Angolan bush, while Amélia, who believed him dead, has buried a coffin without a body.

Originally published in 2009; this paperback edition is the second and consists of 332 pages.
