«Tras el incierto horizonte» is the science fiction novel by Frederik Pohl, published by Ediciones B in paperback (432 pages, in Spanish).
Robinette Broadhead, protagonist of «Pórtico», finances an expedition to the Food Factory, a Heechee ship that converts basic elements of the universe into food. The mission could end world hunger, but its true objective is to find his wife, who disappeared into a black hole during a scientific mission.
Second installment of the Heechee saga. The first novel, «Pórtico», was the only one to win the Hugo, Nebula, and John W. Campbell Memorial awards in 1978.
Aimed at science fiction readers who want to continue the Heechee saga after «Pórtico».
Frederik George Pohl Jr. was an American science-fiction writer, editor, and fan, with a career spanning nearly 75 years—from his first published work, the 1937 poem "Elegy to a Dead Satellite: Luna", to the 2011 novel All the Lives He Led.
