«Tot contat» is the short story collection by Valentí Puig, published by Proa Edicions in 2012 in paperback (358 pages, in Catalan).
The volume brings together Dones que fumen, Maniobres privades and later stories. It portrays characters at the edge: an adulterer at the fateful age, a prostitute in love who works without pay, a snobbish mythomaniac, a progressive woman who joins a sect. Puig's irony attends both to moments of happiness and to the symptoms of despair.
First edition from Proa Edicions, in the A tot vent collection (no. 580), published in Barcelona.
For readers of contemporary short fiction, with the civilized irony that has charmed a new generation of young readers.
