«The Seven Portraits of Mr Grunt» is the children's story by Ana Alonso, published by Grupo Anaya Publicaciones Generales in paperback (96 pages).
Max is an artist with magical powers who brings to life what he paints. One day, Mr Grunt comes to his studio because he feels lonely and wants to have portraits of himself to talk to. Max accepts the commission and, using very different painting styles, creates seven portraits of Mr Grunt, each with its own character.
The work is part of the Pinch of Salt collection from Anaya English and is illustrated by Antonia Santolaya. It includes an audio CD.
Recommended for children aged 8 to 11, particularly for readers interested in art and in stories about characters who paint.
