«The Rising of the Shield Hero - vol. 01» is the heroic fantasy manga by Aiya Kyû, published by Bamboo Editions in paperback (192 pages, in French).
Naofumi is transported to a fantasy world that works like a role-playing game. While the other heroes receive powerful offensive weapons, he gets a shield with very limited abilities. Betrayed by his companion and despised by everyone, the young man can only rely on himself... and perhaps on a mysterious young woman with unexpected resources.
First volume of the manga adaptation of The Rising of the Shield Hero, based on Yusagi's original story.
For fans of action and adventure seinen, with worlds inspired by role-playing games.
