«The Golden Notebook» is the novel by Doris Lessing, published by Panther in paperback (640 pages, in English).
Anna Wulf, a divorced writer in 1950s London, tries to order her life in four notebooks: black for writing, red for politics, yellow for emotions, and blue for everyday life. The golden notebook, which gives the novel its title, aims to integrate these facets while she struggles with creative block.
Originally published in 1962, this edition appeared in 1973 and received the Prix Médicis étranger in 1976.
For those seeking a twentieth-century narrative classic with a feminist perspective and a political backdrop.
