«Fata Morgana Books» is the collection of four short novels by Jonathan Littell, published by Two Lines Press in paperback (208 pages, in English).
Four short novels about desire, love and memory, with ambiguous narrators and vivid settings: a mansion where a man cares for a sick child, a French beach, a narrator who cannot remember his birthday, and bullfights in Spain. Littell leaves the connections dark and the reader must ask who narrates and why.
English translation by Charlotte Mandell. The four texts had previously been published by the French publisher Fata Morgana between 2007 and 2012.
For readers of literary fiction and for those who already know Jonathan Littell, winner of the Prix Goncourt for The Kindly Ones.
Jonathan Littell is an American-born writer living in Barcelona. His first novel written in French, The Kindly Ones, won two major French awards, including the Prix Goncourt and the Prix de l'Académie française.
