Tempesta

Synopsis of Tempesta

«Tempesta» is the historical novel by Lilli Gruber, published by Rizzoli in paperback (384 pages, in Italian).

In 1941, Hella says goodbye to her fiancé Wastl as he leaves for the front; on the train back she meets Karl, a forger fleeing to South Tyrol. War also reaches those mountains, and the novel follows them from the Eastern Front to the Allied campaign in Italy, between family memory, research and fiction.

Published in 2014, it is the first edition and continues the story of Hella, the author's great-aunt, begun in «Eredità».

For readers of historical fiction and narratives set during the Second World War.
