«Sobrevives (1). Diario de una mujer embarazada» is the graphic novel by Marta Vives, published by Mondadori in hardback (128 pages, in Spanish).
Marta Vives narrates with humour her first pregnancy away from her usual place: fears, doubts, first symptoms and changes in her couple and work life. Through an expressionist stroke and bilingual texts in Spanish and English, she turns her diary into a graphic memoir that dismantles clichés about motherhood.
First volume of the «Sobrevives» series by Marta Vives, published in 2007 in a bilingual Spanish-English edition.
For adult readers who enjoy autobiographical graphic novels and want a humorous and no-holds-barred look at pregnancy.
