This book is the preparatory document for the 2021-2023 Synod, whose theme is "For a Synodal Church: communion, participation and mission". The document invites the entire Church to reflect on synodality, a crucial theme for its life and mission in the third millennium. The synodal path began solemnly on October 9-10, 2021 in Rome and on October 17 in each particular Church, culminating in the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops in October 2023.
