«Ser em Palavras» is a poetry collection by Paula Nunes dos Santos, published by Chiado Books in paperback (92 pages, in Portuguese).
The collection moves between the light of a skylight and the figure of a child paralysed by fear and hope. The poetic voice seeks to reconnect with time and with itself through images of silence, a contained scream, the motionless body and an imaginary flight towards rivers and oceans. It is brief, intimate and symbolic poetry, written in Portuguese.
The author was born in Lisbon, holds a degree in International Relations from the Technical University of Lisbon and began writing poetry at the age of nine. «Ser em Palavras» was published on 1 May 2015.
For readers of poetry in Portuguese who appreciate short texts with an intimate and symbolic tone, focused on memory and childhood.
