«Ser de derechas» is the political essay by Germán Yanke, published by Ediciones Martínez Roca in paperback (240 pages, in Spanish).
The author refutes the clichés with which the left has portrayed the right —anti-democratic, elitist, warmongering— and champions a liberal, sceptical and anti-dogmatic right, defender of individual freedom and detached from Francoism. He criticises intellectuals, politicians and ideologues of the Spanish left and sparks an ideological debate.
Published in January 2004, it is the first volume in the Grandes Temas collection and includes a prologue by Federico Jiménez Losantos.
Aimed at readers interested in Spanish political debate and in liberal right-wing thought.
