Secrets of the Code

Synopsis of Secrets of the Code

«Secrets of the Code» is Dan Burstein's unauthorised guide to the mysteries of The Da Vinci Code (Orion Paperbacks, paperback, 592 pp., English).

The guide examines the questions raised by The Da Vinci Code: whether Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, whether she was a disciple and author of a gospel, and whether Leonardo da Vinci or Isaac Newton belonged to secret societies. It also addresses whether The Last Supper contains hidden messages, and distinguishes facts, speculation and fiction.

The work was originally published in 2004; this Orion Paperbacks paperback edition was released on 7 July 2005.

For those who have read The Da Vinci Code and want to delve deeper into the historical and religious debates it suggests, with a critical eye.
