«Scandimodern» is Fay Sweet's book on Scandinavian interior design, published by Mitchell Beazley in paperback (192 pages, in English).
It tours dozens of interiors across Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway, from the twentieth century to contemporary design, in three sections: rural, waterside and urban. It analyses the influence of landscape, natural materials and local craftsmanship, with projects by Alvar Aalto and Arne Jacobsen and current studios such as Entasis and Claesson Koivisto Rune.
The 2006 edition includes a final index; the work originally appeared in 2003 and contains a directory of manufacturers, retailers, architects and designers.
A book aimed at professionals and enthusiasts of interior design and Scandinavian decor.
