«San Francisco de Asís: Exilio y ternura» is the spiritual biography by Éloi Leclerc, published by Sal Terrae in paperback (166 pages, in Spanish).
Francis of Assisi renounced goods and power to live in peace with everyone, in a world marked by violence. The book follows his journey to the East during the Crusades, where he met with Sultan Melik el-Kamil and built a bridge between West and East. Leclerc interprets these events as evidence of the Gospel's impact on the world's conflicts.
Translated into several languages, this is the 2nd edition revised by the author and part of the Servidores y Testigos collection (no. 114).
It will appeal to readers of religious biographies and spirituality, as well as those wanting to learn about Francis of Assisi's dialogue with the Islamic world.
