Dive into Joyce Carol Oates' imaginative dystopia with 'Hazards of Time Travel'. In a totalitarian state where time travel is a punishment for subversives, Adriane Strohl is sent to 1959 for questioning authority. Her idealism leads her to challenge the norms of her new society, triggering liberating and shocking results. This novel explores the horrors of an Orwellian era, the urgency of Oates' writing, and the possibility that belonging to another era means coming from the future. A strange and heartbreaking story that will captivate you with its dark magic and make you reflect on the violence of our own world.
