«Rebeldes» is the young adult novel by S. E. Hinton, published by Círculo de Lectores in paperback (190 pages, in Spanish).
Set in Tulsa, it narrates the clash between the greasers, a gang of boys from a poor neighbourhood, and the socs, youths from wealthy families. Ponyboy, the novel's narrator, experiences the escalation of violence between both groups and the consequences it has for him and his friends, in a story about loyalty and coming of age.
Part of the Onda Joven collection. Translated by Miguel Martínez-Lage and originally published in 1967 under the title The Outsiders.
A work commonly read in schools and a classic of the young adult coming-of-age novel.
