«Rates al jardí» is the 1985 diary by Valentí Puig, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (136 pages, in Catalan).
The diary records the day-to-day of 1985, a year marked by the thaw in the Cold War and by Spain's preparation to join the European Economic Community. Puig alternates notes on public life with personal observations: friendships, reading, family memories and reflections on the craft of writing.
It is Valentí Puig's third diary, after «Bosc endins» and «Matèria obscura», and belongs to the collection «Biografies i Memòries».
For readers of memoir literature and biographies, as well as for those who want to know the personal chronicle of Spain in the 1980s.
