«Puffin Rescue!» is a graded reader by Rob Waring and National Geographic Staff, published by Thomson ELT in paperback (24 pages, in English).
Puffins are birds that live in Iceland. Every year, the chicks, called pufflings, leave the nest and head for the sea, but sometimes they get lost and cannot find the way. The book tells how a group of people rescues them and how that help unfolds.
Published in 2007. It belongs to the Footprint Reading Library series, level 1000. The cover indicates that it includes video material from National Geographic.
For English learners practising with graded readers: it combines animals and nature with reading comprehension.
Rob Waring is an American-Norwegian Contemporary music composer and performer, commonly associated with symphony orchestras and jazz ensembles.
