«Propos sur la nature» is Alain's philosophical essay, published by Editions Gallimard in paperback (261 pages, in French).
In these essays, Alain reflects on nature as the backdrop of all his thought and proposes contemplating it free of human projections, as it would be without us. Against philosophies that confine the subject to their own dreams, the author defends a gaze that cleanses the world of fears and superstitions to recover its beauty and achieve free thought.
It belongs to the Folio Essais collection. Edited by Robert Bourgne, with an epilogue by Pierre Zachary.
A book for readers of philosophy and essays interested in the relationship between the human being and the natural world.
