«Poemas» is Catullus's poetry collection, published by Editorial Planeta in hardback (213 pages, in Spanish).
The more than one hundred surviving poems of Catullus show Roman high society from an intimate and subjective perspective. Far from epic, his neoteric poetry, an admirer of Callimachus, combines the examination of the poetic self's feelings with the everyday observation of a society that resists traditional rules.
Published in 1995, it is part of the collection Los Clásicos de Grecia y Roma (no. 39). Original title: Carmina.
A work for readers interested in classical poetry and everyday life in ancient Rome.
