«Personne n'a peur des gens qui sourient» is the novel by Véronique Ovaldé, published by Flammarion in paperback (267 pages, in French).
One June morning, Gloria picks up her daughters and flees with them to the Alsatian house of her childhood. Behind that flight lies a dark past: the disappearance of her father, the death of Samuel, the father of her daughters, and the role of the lawyer Santini.
