«Paysages» is an art book on Amedeo Modigliani's landscapes, published by Casimiro Libros in paperback (88 pages, in French).
The book starts from the statement attributed to Modigliani «the landscape does not exist» to show his lesser-known side, the landscapes, linked to his training in Livorno with Guglielmo Micheli, the Macchiaioli tradition and his view of Paris. Companion volume to Portraits, published on the occasion of the exhibition at the Musée de l'Orangerie.
It is part of the Casimiro series in French and corresponds to the first edition, published on 11 September 2023.
A read for those interested in art history and Modigliani's work, especially his relationship with landscape.
