«Parkmord» is the collection of stories by Julian Schutting, published by Deutscher Taschenbuch-Verlag in paperback (118 pages, in German).
The stories take everyday scenes (reading the newspaper, visiting a castle, party games) and turn them into a source of unease and fatality. In the story that opens the book, news of a murder becomes advertising for the brands found beside the corpse; in another, a visit to a museum leads to existential anguish.
The book appeared in 1977 in the Sonderreihe dtv series (number 5443).
Recommended for those interested in twentieth-century Austrian narrative and in prose of high formal demands.
