«Outra idea de Galicia» is the history and culture essay by Miguel Anxo Murado, published by Debate in paperback (208 pages).
The essay weaves together elements of travel writing, literary criticism, geography and history to formulate a particular theory of Galicia. With an ironic style, the author dismantles the commonplaces that visitors and Galicians have fixed on the country and seeks what characterises and distinguishes Galicia.
Published in September 2013, the book was conceived to explain Galicia to those who do not know it and later became a reference work within the country itself.
Aimed at readers interested in the history, culture and identity of Galicia, both within and outside the community.
