A volume where, whether by clear allusion or through intertextual dialogue, the author chooses the ethical and aesthetic company of beloved voices. They are in their majority foreign artists for whom the experience of this American city represented in some way a shock and turning point in their own writing. They are even understood today as being emblematic in the process of the poeticisation of the great metropolis (Whitman, Mark Strand, Adonis), although names as equally significant for Galician culture, such as Castelao, García Lorca, Luís Seoane or Celso Emilio Ferreiro, are also present.
