«Nou dones i una guerra» is a biography book by Isabel Olesti Prats, published by Edicions 62 in paperback (296 pages, in Catalan).
The book brings together nine biographies of women who actively participated in the Spanish Civil War and suffered repression, exile, imprisonment and clandestine struggle. There are activists, militiamen, communists and women from the POUM or Esquerra. The testimonies of these women give an account of their work and vindicate the female role in the conflict.
Volume 33 of the No Ficció collection, with a prologue by Teresa Pàmies. Published in Barcelona in 2005.
Recommended for readers interested in the Spanish Civil War, historical memory and women's biographies.
