«Nightmare: The Ernest Saunders Story» is the biography of Ernest Saunders by James and Jean Saunders, published by Hutchinson in hardback (288 pages).
It recounts Ernest Saunders' management of Guinness plc: in five years he transformed a single-brand, declining company into one of the world's leading drinks groups, with profits multiplied ninefold. It then describes the events that led to the executive's downfall and the end of his successful period.
The work is written in English; its first edition appeared in June 1989 and includes an index and eight pages of plates with illustrations, facsimiles and portraits.
Suitable for readers interested in business biographies and the history of major British companies.
