«Nicolás Copérnico» is the biography of the astronomer written by Héctor Anabitarte and Ricardo Lorenzo Sanz, published by Editorial Labor in hardback (207 pages).
The book reviews the life and career of Nicolás Copérnico, the astronomer who defended the heliocentric model, with the Sun at the centre and the Earth revolving around it. It explains how that theory challenged the astronomy of his time, transformed the conception of the cosmos and consolidated his scientific legacy.
The work belongs to the Grandes Personajes collection; it is a commemorative edition of the 75th anniversary of Editorial Labor, published in 1990 and written in Spanish.
For readers interested in the history of science, astronomy and biographies of scientists.
