«My Animals and Other Family» is Clare Balding's autobiography, published by Penguin in paperback (258 pages, in English).
Clare Balding grew up on a horse-breeding estate, surrounded by over a hundred thoroughbreds and a pack of dogs. In «My Animals and Other Family», animals are Clare Balding's first teachers: through them she learns about life, loss and identity while growing up between boarding school, the stables and her beginnings as an amateur jockey.
For readers of memoirs and biographies, animal lovers and horse-riding enthusiasts.
